BOG-POD Bino Rest (BBR)

The BOG-POD Bino Rest (BBR) allows you to quickly mount most brands of binoculars onto tripods, bipods, and monopods. It fits binoculars ranging in size from 7x to 20x. (Patent pending.)

Bino Rest features:

TO USE WITH BOG-POD® SHOOTING STICKS THERE ARE TWO OPTIONS:

(1) Screw the included quick-change stem (packaged inside the base of the Bino Rest) into the hole in the base of the Bino Rest leaving the installed silver 1/4”-20 reduction collar in place. Apply a temporary adhesive on the threads of the quick-change stem prior to screwing it into the base of the Bino Rest, which will prevent the stem from unscrewing from the base of the Bino Rest and yet allow it to spin 360°. DO NOT use permanent adhesive (i.e. Super Glue®, Etc.) on stem as it cannot be removed later without breaking the Bino Rest. Once the adhesive has dried, push the stem into the center hole in the top of the head of any BOG-POD® monopod, bipod, or tripod.

(2) Attach an accessory mounting plate, like BOGgear’s adapt2™, into the base of the Bino Rest. Then place the accessory plate into the top of a ball head camera / spotting scope adapter, like BOGgear’s Standard Camera Adapter (SCA) or Professional Camera Adapter (PCA). This will allow for easy re-positioning of the Bino Rest during extended periods of glassing.

TO USE WITH OTHER BRANDS OF TRIPODS, BIPODS, AND MONOPODS THERE ARE TWO OPTIONS:

(1) Screw the Bino Rest directly onto the threaded fitting or fixed bolt of any standard tripod, bipod, or monopod. The Bino Rest has a 3/8”-16 threaded hole in the base with a 1/4”-20 threaded reduction collar factory installed. These two thread sizes are offered on most standard tripods, bipods, and monopods. To use the 3/8”-16 threaded hole, it is necessary to take a flat-head screw driver and remove the 1/4”-20 reduction collar (see photo on right.)

(2) Attach any brand of accessory mounting plate to put on another brand of ballhead unit (see #2 above.)
